Patios, Pathways, & Walls

What is Hardscaping?

There are two key elements to a great outdoor space: the softscape — that’s the living things like flowers, plants, grass, soil, flower beds, and groundcover. Then there’s the hardscape. As the name suggests, it’s retaining walls, stairs, walkways, paved areas, driveways, and any other outside spaces that uses materials like wood, stone, and concrete. Beautiful greenspaces incorporate a balance of both hard and softscaping. Done correctly, good hardscaping can extend your living space outdoors, dramatically improve your home's curb appeal, prevent erosion, drainage and flooding issues.
