Wanting to utilize their large backyard, our clients desired a personalized outdoor retreat. We started by modernizing their pool coping and pouring a large concrete patio surrounding the pool. From there, we constructed the pergola using steel posts with tongue and groove cedar for the ceiling. The outdoor fireplace and kitchen utilizes mortared limestone to provide a hill country inspired space. We added an additional patio space composed of lueder pavers and blackstar gravel to serve as an outdoor dining and lounge area. We extended the blackstar gravel into a walkway that wraps around the house to the front yard. By choosing native plants we were able to minimize water requirements while adding to the biodiversity of the microclimate of our client’s neighborhood. Last but not least, we added a putting green for our clients to practice their golf skills!
